Join Stewart Cellars founder Michael Stewart for an upscale Texas barbecue dinner in the private NOMAD Heritage Library at Stewart Cellars in Yountville. Morgan Robinson's SMOKE Catering will perfectly pair each course with the best wines Stewart Cellars has to offer, including library, current release and pre-release vintages of the coveted NOMAD Cabernet Sauvignon. The NOMAD wines are a multigenerational effort between Stewart Cellars and Beckstoffer Vineyards to showcase Napa Valley's heritage vineyards. Each vintage reveals what a truly great winemaker can do with vineyards whose lineage can be traced back to the Napa Valley's early pioneers. Under the guidance of Paul Hobbs, Andy Beckstoffer and Michael Stewart have been partners in crafting the NOMAD Cabernet Sauvignon since 2005. Michael Stewart - Owner, Stewart Cellars
When Michael Stewart sold the technology company he founded and ran for 25 years in Texas, he knew that his next venture would allow him to capitalize on a longtime interest in wine. He made several trips to the Napa Valley over the years and was charmed by the idea of settling here and building a family business. In 2000, Michael launched Stewart Cellars with small inaugural releases of hand-crafted wines sourced from some of the finest vineyards in Napa Valley and Sonoma County. In 2016, Stewart Cellars set down permanent roots with a tasting room in Yountville, California.
Blair Guthrie - Winemaker, Stewart Cellars
Having studied oenology and viticulture in New Zealand, Blair began his career in 2009 as harvest intern at Paul Hobbs' Crossbarn, where he met his wife, Caroline Stewart. Together the couple moved to Australia, where Blair assumed a job as assistant winemaker at BK Wines. Returning to Napa Valley in 2012, Blair was named assistant winemaker at Kunde Family Winery, a position he held for three years. In 2015, Blair joined Stewart Cellars as winemaker and vineyard manager, displaying the same passion he brings to being a husband and father as he does his work in the vineyards and cellar.
