The name “Continuum” speaks to the fact that the Mondavi family has been in the wine industry for 100 years, celebrating an unbroken string of harvests since 1919 (thanks to hardworking immigrant ingenuity and despite Prohibition). Join in celebrating the rich Italian heritage that inspired this iconic family destiny, with the help of some of their very special friends—the Bulgaris, the Frescobaldis and more.  E allora festeggiamo! (so let’s celebrate!)

Rome (days 1-2)

Arrive to your hotel in Rome in style via Bulgari’s beautifully restored vintage papal limousine, followed by a private cocktail reception in their store near the Spanish Steps. Discover amazing places during your tour with Constantino D’Orazio, author of The Keys to Open 99 Secret Places in Rome. Go through the Vatican gates in the Bulgari limousine for an extraordinary behind-the-scenes experience at the Vatican. Arranged by Access Italy, this tour will take you through the Sistine Chapel and a room featuring the Vatican’s jewels, art and other and treasures—a room rarely seen—followed by a private tour of another iconic Roman landmark—the Pantheon.

View Nicola Bulgari’s collection of 30+ immaculately restored vintage American cars in his amazing garage as you enjoy lunch prepared by his private chef.

Monteverdi, Tuscany (days 3-7)

Revel in authentic Tuscany during your stay at Monteverdi, located in the exquisitely restored medieval village of Castiglioncello del Trinoro overlooking the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll stay in Villa Amiata at Monteverdi, with daily breakfasts at the Oreade restaurant and winetastings at the Enoteca. Participate in a cooking class and dine at the chef’s table at Monteverdi’s new culinary academy. Don’t miss a private winetasting with famed winemaker Giacomo Neri of Casanova di Neri, and be chauffeured in  Mr. Bulgari’s vintage American cars for a lunch and private tour of the PoderNuovo a Palazzone di Giovanni Bulgari winery.

Enjoy personally curated tours and winery visits through Brunello wine country with Tim and/or Carissa Mondavi, including in Montalcino at CastelGiocondo and the new Luce winery—a Frescobaldi wine that began in partnership with Mondavi.

Take an exciting helicopter flight to Bolgheri for a day trip. Tour and taste at Frescobaldi’s Ornellaia (all too briefly owned in concert with the Mondavi family), then dine at La Pinetta.

Florence (days 8-9)

Arrive in Florence and continue up a mountain slope where you’ll stay as guests of the Frescobaldi family in one of four exclusive rooms at Castello di Nipozzano in the heart of the prestigious Chianti Rufina area. Tour the castle, overlooking the Arno River valley, and savor the wines of the unique Nipozzano terroir.

Enjoy lunch at the new Frescobaldi restaurant in Piazza Della Signoria in Florence, followed by a private tour of the magnificent Uffizi Gallery. Your enticing finale dinner takes place at the home of Lamberto Frescobaldi.

Back in the Valley

Before or after your exciting Italian adventure, relish a sunset tour and multi-course dinner at Continuum Estate in Napa Valley. Prepared by Chef Sarah Scott, this delicious meal will be paired with wines from Continuum as well as treasures from Tim Mondavi’s private cellar.
