Shafer Vineyards and BottleRock invite you to an unparalleled weekend of food, wine, music and full-on guitar-riff-driven fun!
Your weekend as a Napa Valley rock star starts off at Shafer Vineyards, the day before 2020 BottleRock, with a private tasting of Hillside Select, the best-of-the-best from the ’80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s through to today. Your guide to these ultra-rare wines will be Elias Fernandez, Shafer’s winemaker of 35 years.
Let the music begin with Shafer friend Jeff Wells, who owns America’s premier collection of early guitars, including the first Martin guitar ever made (1834) and the first known six-string guitar ever made (1785 Giovanni Batista Fabricatore). Wells and musicians from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music will play you into a private lunch with Doug Shafer, paired with more impossible-to-find Shafer wines.
Friday kicks off three days of headliner performances at BottleRock 2020—one of the world’s top music festivals, which has featured towering talents such as Bruno Mars, Neil Young, Maroon 5, Tom Petty, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stevie Wonder and the Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, and Snoop Dogg.
Perennially sold out even before the show line-up is announced, your premiere passes offer access to places unavailable to most festival-goers, including backstage access, front-row viewing and meet-and-greets with BottleRock artists. Your abracadabra pass opens the door to the Platinum Lounge, where you’ll enjoy complimentary Michelin-starred food served by the chefs and rare Napa Valley wines selected by some of the world’s top Master Sommeliers.
And your oasis for five nights? None other than Meadowood Napa Valley, where you’ll be surrounded by natural beauty on this private, 250-acre wine country estate. You’ll have a chance to unwind with the world-class amenities at Meadowood, which include the property’s new pools and fitness center. Dinner at the three-Michelin-starred The Restaurant at Meadowood will bring Napa Valley most evocatively to your table.
Back home you’ll enjoy a 10-magnum vertical of Shafer’s Hillside Select, two bottles each of vintages 2002-2011.
