I believe winemaking is infinitely complex and ever changing. This is what makes it so intriguing to me. Each wine takes on a life of its own, and my role is to guide its development from fruit to bottle. For me, the key to artful winemaking is gently blending modern tools and techniques with methods that are respectful of tradition. Winemaking is a humbling profession, so I believe it should be performed with flexibility, patience and reflection.
Native to Sonoma County, Kale Anderson was organically exposed to wine country at a young age. Growing up as a competitive athlete, with a deep-rooted love for the land, he was in awe of the beauty of the landscape right in front of him.
