BS in biology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago

A Chicago native, I earned a BS in biology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I gained experience as a harvest enologist at Domaine Carneros Winery, as a vineyard intern at Domaine Chandon California, and as a research intern at Tenute Antinori, Santa Cristina Estate, in Montefiridolfi, Italy. In 1998 I received an MS in horticulture from the Department of Viticulture and Enology at the University of California, Davis.

In 2000, I became Winemaker for Lokoya, in 2001 I was promoted to Winemaker for Cardinale, and in 2005 I was named Winemaker for La Jota Vineyard Co.
