Napa Valley Barrel Auction

High spirits, great wine, superb food, good company... and a little friendly competition all come together at this sought-after Napa Valley Barrel Auction.

Take a sneak peek at future releases when the Barrel Auction gets underway. Mingle with winery owners and winemakers as they offer samples directly from the barrel.

Like what you tasted? Then add your bid to the board. If you're one of the top ten bidders for that lot, look forward to having a case of that wine sent to your home when it's ready for release. This is your chance to dream about, and get a very close look at, the must-see-to-believe Live Auction lots up for bid at Saturday's Auction Celebration. Each one is a treasure, a wonder. Next, stroll through the outdoor marketplace where wineries participating in the E-Auction will pour their top releases for you. This is your chance to ask questions about the wines from the people who made them before you place your bid on any of the lots available. Dozens of the region's most acclaimed Napa Valley restaurants and food purveyors will be on hand with culinary gems for you to enjoy.

A memorable highlight will be meeting some of the recipients whose lives have been changed by Auction donations. You will also meet some of the heroes of the organizations dedicated to bringing hope and success to those in need.

Live Auction Celebration

This is it. The much-anticipated, always-unforgettable Live Auction Celebration at Meadowood Napa Valley.

Start with a glass of wine as you talk to the vintners who have generously crafted the 46 mega-lots for auction later in the day. Then it's lunch on the lawn as Bravo! Top Chef winners offer their awardwinning dishes served with your choice of wines—white, pink, red or sparkling—all provided by your vintner hosts.

Saturday is the final chance to get your bids in for the Napa Valley Barrel Auction. Stroll over to view the barrel boards and place your bids before lunch or one hour after the Live Auction concludes.

Next, pick up your paddle and head into the big tent for the Live Auction. Your vintner hosts will join you as auctioneers Fritz Hatton, Humphrey Butler and Ursula Hermacinski tempt you with the worldclass lots up for bid. Succesfully bid on a lot, and that lot's vintners will join you for a congr atulatory toast. Among this year's most anticipated Auction lots is Fund-A-Need. This moving and inspirational lot does not include trips or parties or wine. It does offer an amazing return on investment because the winner's generosity will help children lead healthy, productive lives.

After the Auction, head back out on the lawn where you'll feast on a fabulous Southern family-style dinner prepared by Blackberry Farm's Chef Joseph Lenn. Then, dance the night away.

Auction Farewell

End your Auction Napa Valley weekend in the same dreamy a fashion it began. Vintners will join you for one last bite and one last sip. Then we'll gently return you to reality by offering our warmest thanks for taking part in the bounty, the generosity and philanthropy of Auction Napa Valley.
