SOUTH-AFRICAN STYLE BARBECUE FOR 2 COUPLES IN NAPA VALLEY

Have you ever been to South Africa? Have you seen the exotic, the mystical, the nearly indescribable beauty of the Great Escarpment? The rolling grasslands borne from the Kalahari, or the cosmopolitan energies and harbor of vertical cliffs at Cape Town? Even if the answer is yes, this is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see, smell, breathe and absorb the magnificence of what has been termed by UNESCO to be the Cradle of Human Kind.
In preparation for your travel to the African continent, the four of you are invited to enjoy a traditional braai at the Favia Erickson Napa Valley estate—an elaborate South African barbecue accompanied by much wine, laughter, and the pleasures of good company. A decade of wines will also be presented as yours to explore and savor at your leisure: a 10-year vertical offering of magnums of Favia Cerro Sur Napa Valley Red Wine, vintages 2003-2012.
You and one other couple will then embark on the first leg of your journey with two days and nights in Cape Town, touring the quintessential sites of Table Mountain, Cape Point and Robben Island, with luxury accommodations at The One and Only to meet you at the end of each day’s journey. You’ll spend the next two days and nights exploring the Cape Winelands, with Andy Erickson as your host and guide. Andy will share his favorite spots with you, collected over the course of the four years he spent making wine in the area. You’ll visit estates DeMorgenzon, Mulderbosch, Tokara and L’Ormarins, among others, all with Andy’s expert guidance and insight.
The spectacular conclusion of your explorations: a final two-day, two-night safari in the Singita Game Reserve. You’ll experience first-hand the nervous excitement of the African wilderness, touring Singita’s 33,000 acre concession of pristine wilderness. Four prides of lions, a uniquely abundant concentration of the ‘Big 5’ and four distinct ecological zones, Singita is a place of magic and supremely powerful beauty; the most auspicious of locales within which to conclude your South African experience.
