Sheer heaven is yours on this epicurean odyssey that will take you and two other couples to one paradise after another--Napa Valley, Paris, Bordeaux, Tuscany and San Francisco. Your esteemed hosts? None other than Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Marchese Piero Antinori, Opus One and Antica.
Start where so many sublime experiences of food and wine begin: Paris. You’ll stay for two nights at the Four Seasons Hotel and dine at the L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon. Take in the legendary show at Le Lido and enjoy a private tour with the curator of the Musée d'Orsay.
The next day, travel to Bordeaux for a blissful visit to Chateau Mouton Rothschild and other renowned properties of the Médoc. Check in at Paulliac’s luxurious Cordeillan Bages, where you will dine the first night. The next day, after touring the newly dedicated Chateau Clerc Milon and visiting the cellar of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, you’ll dine at the chateau with Baroness Philippine de Rothschild.
Want to keep going? Good, because angelic Florence beckons. After settling into the opulent Four Seasons, you’ll take in the art of the Uffizi Galleries with a private tour guide. Revel in a gastronomic adventure at Michelin three-star Enoteca Pinchiorri.
Next, explore Chianti Classico where you will delve into the delights of the region by taking a culinary class at Osteria Passignano. Later that day, the Antinori family will greet you at its Tignanello Estate where Solaia and Tignanello are made. Marchese Piero Antinori will be your host at dinner. Relax that night at the Fonte de Medici, set amidst the family’s famed vineyards.
Jet back to San Francisco for dinner at Gary Danko and a night at the Four Seasons. For the next two days and nights, you’ll be pampered in Napa Valley with two nights at Auberge du Soleil and its famed spa treatments. Enjoy the spectacular views at Cougar Rock—the Marchese Antinori’s mountaintop estate--where you’ll revel in a retrospective tasting of Antica Cabernet Sauvignon and dine on food prepared by Antinori chef Kim Wiss. The odyssey in Napa Valley ends with a five-course dinner served alongside a heritage selection of Opus One.
Another journey begins when you become the proud possessors of nine bottles of Opus One (including 3 double magnums), along with three bottles of heavenly Antica and six divine bottles of Townsend.
