Oakville's gravelly, volcanic soils yield some of the best Cabernet Sauvignons in the world. Grown on the eastern hills--where Oakville Cross Road meets the Silverado Trail--these grapes were picked at the perfect ripeness to emphasize fruit and varietal character. Part of the restraint of this wine comes from the serpentine soils which slow the growth of the vines.
