Knoll Vineyard 2009
12 bottles of Napa Valley wine, as noted
It's only once in a blue moon that you'll have the chance to take possession of a case of Howell at the Moon's 2009 Knoll Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon produced from a tiny (less than an acre) vineyard planted at the highest point of the estate.
This wine, selected for this auction from a single barrel, is made exclusively from the UCD 7 clone of Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep red in hue, the wine opens with aromas of blackberry, cherry, crushed rose, smoke and spice before yielding to generous flavors of cherries, wild berries, pencil lead, fall leaf and cedar. It finishes with finely structured tannins, spice and dark fruit.
